¿µ¹®³»¿ë (English Abstract) |
In biology, finding an amino acid sequence is fundamental to analyze proteins. Therefore, determining monoisotopic masses for polypeptides is a significant problem. However, determining monoisotopic mass for a selenopeptide which contains selenocysteines(Sec) is difficult, since a selenocysteine has distinct characteristics. J. W. Kim et al. presented an algorithm to determine monoisotopic masses of selenocysteine-containing polypeptides based on a theoretical model for an isotopic distribution of a selenopeptide. In this paper, we analyze the experiments of the algorithm according to critical parameters and score functions which are considered in implementing steps or execution time.
